Fat

I've been steadily gaining weight since my last entry. At first I thought I had Calgary to blame as I was force-fed with AAA steaks and Vietnamese Subs and Bubble Tea all under the company's expense. But it's been almost 8 months since I've left Calgary and I have gained an additional 2 kilos.

I have to come up with a plan.

I'm taking a China-made laxative tea right now. It hurts so much it works as an alarm clock in the morning. I'm excited about the results but also hoping it isn't the next Slim 10.

Will update as summer is coming!

Like seriously...

It never pays to be nice... NEVER!

You're nice to your co-worker who never has friends, she does you a favour by bitching about her boss a your desk - calling him a sexist and a racist in a super quiet office environment

So right now, you're super pissed off and continue back-bitching about her to anyone who would listen because you're too chicken to tell her to shut up and get a life....

But then, when it comes to her last day at work, you pity her and suggest to go out for lunch, even plan on giving her a treat.

The day comes, she's half and hour late. She changes the venue to her house. You get there, but she's still at Chinatown. You call her - she needs to go to the Korean mart to get some ice cream, so you offer to follow her around to run errands. You meet her at the Korean mart, at the cashier, she's haggling over the price of ice cream, holding up the line at the lone cashier. People start getting impatient and stare at me TOO!

Fine, we walk back to her house, I drop by just to say a proper goodbye. Her mom starts peeling oranges. I helped her call a cab, giving my number as reference as she doesn't have a local line. I finally leave, but my bus is half and hour late.

I'm back home. Cab driver called to tell me that he'll be a couple of minutes late but will call again when he has arrived. I call my friend up to pass the message. Worried that I'm going to miss the cab driver's call, I delayed my shower. After half and hour, still no call from cabbie. Got worried and first thing I did was call the cab company, they paged the driver and he's already halfway to the airport with my friend... did she call me? NO!

So, think about it.. so nice... FOR WHAT?!

OMG... blog laaaa

Ok, I'm actually blogging.... why? Because... Aly and Leen used to almost everyday and I didn't see the need to blog - so after refreshing their pages too many times... I've decided to blog - not a very good reason... but whatever...

anyways... anyways.... ok.. i've found something to blog about - i've been away from KL longer than 6 months -

in the six months that i've been here... too many things have happen - omg this is going to be one boring post because i have to censor too many things - but i'll sum it up and leave it to your imagination la - and i'll prob add some pictures to help

month 1: something super duper good happened - miss gatal was truly gatal --- which means... no pictures

month 2: realized for the ten thousandth infinity time... i hate group-work

month 3: oh.. this month was pretty good as well...cooked a turkey - turned out well. got two job offers... picked BP Canada

month 4: found out that i can't keep secrets - not that i can't. more like i'm pretty dumb about the way i keep them - i still managed to keep one...

month 5: moved to Calgary. was excited about first big paycheck... only to be told that i'll get it next month... also noticed that i was the only asian chick in the neighbourhood - my english teacher warned me that i'll be exotic here...

moved from here.........(downtown Van @ 5.30 pm)

to here..... (downtown Cal at 5.30 pm)

month 6: got my first paycheck - H U G E - but... didn't see any of it at the end of the month. my mom asked me if i gained weight.. i asked her why... she says it's coz i never send her pictures anymore. mommy... this is a picture of the Korean hot pot i was telling you about - that's 2 servings - and i finished my half the last time i had it.

month 7: current month. things are good with the boss. bitch in the office is gone. in love with the flavour of singapura. i like cats. i'm talking to cats. i just talked to my landlord's cat.

Patutlah....

So, I always thought that I inherited the ability to articulate so well when it came to "speculating" from my mum but she never seems to think so. In fact, whenever we argue she always yells mentions, "You are exactly like your father!".

Never figured out why till yesterday. While having dim sum with my dad and mom, they were discussing my sister's Geography marks.

mom: she didn't do too bad. heard she had a bad Geography teacher

dad: really?

mom: yeah, she never liked that teacher from the start

dad: no one liked the Geography teacher during my school days either.

me: oh? you can remember that far back?

with a look of disgust...
dad: yeah, Alinathan... we used to call her BB

me: wow... you even remembered her name. what's BB?

with an even more disgusted look...
dad: Bombay Bitch

chocking on my siu mai...
me: ooooooooommmmmmgggggggg!!!!!! I can't believe you just said that! I can't believe you called her that!!

same disgusted look...
dad: she was a real bitch

me: my Geography teacher wasn't very good either...

dad: no, this was a bitch

me: okokok...

dad: all she did was read from the book and ask us to highlight two lines on every page!

me: okokokok...

and I served him his bak chang then he stopped complaining
